Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a leading closeout retailer known for its Crazy Deals®, with 175 locations across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, is pleased to announce it has signed leases for four new store locations expected to open in 2026. The new stores, located in Middletown, NY; Glassboro, NJ; Phoenixville, PA; and Prince Frederick, MD, are targeted to open in the third or fourth quarter of 2026, after Labor Day.
All four new stores will occupy spaces formerly home to Big Lots, continuing OSJL’s strategic repurposing of former retail sites. With these additions, OSJL will have opened a total of 24 former Big Lots locations. The four sites also share a common landlord, Brixmor, with whom OSJL currently has four existing stores.

The planned new locations include:
- Middletown, NY: Located in Wallkill Plaza at 400 Route 211 East & Carpenter Avenue, the 46,800 square-foot store will be one of OSJL’s largest stores in New York. The site will be OSJL’s 18th store in New York. The closest OSJL store is in Newburgh, approximately 22 miles away.
- Glassboro, NJ: Located in Collegetown Shopping Center at 731 Delsea Drive, Unit No. 29A, the 40,000 square-foot store will be OSJL’s 12th store in New Jersey. The site is less than one mile from Rowan University and approximately eight miles from OSJL’s Deptford location.
- Phoenixville, PA: Located in the Shoppes at Valley Forge at 260 Schuylkill Road, Unit No. 12, the 29,525 square-foot store will be OSJL’s 14th store in Pennsylvania and its first location in Chester County. The closest OSJL store is in Pottstown, approximately 12 miles away.
- Prince Frederick, MD: Located in Fox Run Shopping Center at 615 Solomons Island Road North, Unit No. 7, the 38,322 square-foot store will be one of OSJL’s southernmost stores. The closest OSJL stores are located in Chester and Glen Burnie, Maryland.
OSJL expects to hire for up to 70 positions per store, including store leadership, supervisory, full-time, part-time and seasonal associate roles. OSJL is already recruiting for leadership positions at its planned Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; Glassboro, New Jersey; and Prince Frederick, Maryland locations.
