Chesapeake Beach Woman Accused of Violating Peace Order, Threatening Witness

May 23, 2026

Marie Ann Lamb, 60, of Chesapeake Beach, has been charged in Calvert County District Court with failing to comply with a peace order and intimidating or influencing a juror or witness after an alleged incident on May 20, 2026, according to court documents. The criminal case was filed on May 22, 2026, and remains open.

Lamb is charged with two misdemeanors: peace order: fail to comply and intimidate/influence juror. Court records list the alleged offense location as Church Street in Prince Frederick.

According to an application for statement of charges filed by DFC Parks of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy responded at about 7:56 p.m. on May 20, 2026, to a report of a peace order violation at the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office on Church Street in Prince Frederick. The documents state that the adult female victim reported she had obtained a temporary peace order against Lamb, described in the application as her next-door neighbor.

The application says the temporary peace order had been served at 10:44 a.m. on May 20, 2026. According to the filing, the adult female victim told the deputy she received a call from her niece after the niece allegedly received a text message from Lamb. The document states Lamb allegedly wanted the niece to deliver a message to the adult female victim.

The alleged message, sent at 6:39 p.m., stated: “Warn you Aunt [adult female victim] to not show up to court on the 27th. If she does piece of paper won’t save her or her kids. I work 6 days a week and have more money than I know what to do with. I can get out of anything. Even things 6 feet under. I know all about you and your husband too.”

Court documents also quote the peace order as stating that “the Respondent SHALL NOT contact (in person, by telephone, in writing, or by any other means), attempt to contact the person for whom relief was sought.” The deputy wrote that by allegedly contacting the victim’s niece and telling her to pass along a message after being served, Lamb was believed to have violated the temporary peace order.

The application states that “All actions and conversations were captured on my agency issued Axon body camera” and that a picture was taken of the alleged message for evidence. The deputy wrote, “I respectfully request Marie Lamb be charged with Failure to comply with peace order and any other charges deemed necessary” and “I request this case be closed.”

A criminal summons was issued on May 22, 2026. Lamb is scheduled for a preliminary inquiry on July 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in Calvert District Court, Courtroom 2. Court documents state that failure to appear may result in a warrant being issued.
