On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Pegg Road in Lexington Park, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle collision with the vehicle having rolled over, with no entrapment.
EMS evaluated one adult female, and a 4-year-old female on the scene and requested aviation for both patients.
Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7, and U.S. Park Police Eagle 1 landed at the St. Mary’s County Regional Airport to
One occupant signed a care refusal form on the scene.
The child was flown by Trooper 7 to the Children’s National Hospital, the adult female was flown by Eagle 1 transported the woman to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.
Police are investigating the collision.
