231 Farm & Outdoor Sports is closing its doors after 15 years in business, according to an announcement shared by Erin Kimbro.
The announcement reads:
“After 15 incredible years, 231 FARM & OUTDOOR SPORTS is closing its doors.
After many years of working long hours and dedicating so much of my life to building and growing 231 with my family, I realized I was ready for a different chapter. Sometimes the greatest success is having the freedom to choose what’s next.
I want to thank every customer, employee, vendor, friend, and family member who has supported us throughout this journey. Because of you, 231 Farm & Outdoor Sports became far more than a business—it became part of the Southern Maryland community. The relationships and memories made over the last 15 years are something I will always treasure.
As I close this chapter, I am excited to begin a new one. I look forward to working alongside my husband, who recently retired from Calvert County Public Schools after 21 years of teaching, as we continue growing our wellness business, The Heat Lab Sauna & Plunge.
For the first time in a long time, I’m choosing a little more balance, a little more family time, and the opportunity to focus on something new. I am incredibly grateful for the support this community has shown me over the years, and I hope you’ll continue to follow us on our next adventure.
Thank you for an amazing 15 years.
It has truly been an honor to serve Southern Maryland.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Erin Kimbro”
