David Reidy Brosnahan, 54, of North Beach
David Reidy Brosnahan, 54, of North Beach, has been charged with disorderly conduct, trespass on private property, and failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order after an alleged May 30, 2026, disturbance at CalvertHealth Medical Center in Prince Frederick.
The charges stem from an incident on Hospital Road in Prince Frederick. A deputy with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported being dispatched to CalvertHealth around 10 p.m. for a disorderly call. While responding, the deputy was told that Brosnahan had been escorted off the property and was becoming argumentative and physical with staff.
When the deputy arrived, Brosnahan was speaking with Cpl. Evans outside in the hospital parking lot. The deputy wrote that Brosnahan appeared intoxicated and extremely agitated. According to the filing, Brosnahan said he needed his shirt and wanted deputies to get it for him. The deputy and Cpl. Evans explained that they did not have the shirt and that it had been taken as evidence.
After speaking with the charge nurse, the deputy reported being told that Brosnahan had been released from the hospital and needed to leave. Brosnahan was then told several times to leave the property. The deputy wrote that Brosnahan continued yelling profanities while slowly walking out of the parking lot, then repeatedly turned around and walked back toward the deputies.
The deputy said Brosnahan continued calling deputies names and yelling profanities after being told to leave. People in the parking lot were reportedly stopping and staring as the incident continued. Brosnahan was then placed under arrest and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center. The deputy wrote that the incident was captured on an agency-issued Axon body-worn camera.
At an initial appearance on May 31, 2026, Brosnahan waived an attorney for that hearing only and was released on personal recognizance. His release conditions included not engaging in criminal conduct, appearing in court when notified, abstaining from alcohol or abusive use of controlled substances without a prescription, and completing an evaluation with Calvert Behavioral Health while following all recommendations.
