Baltimore will host SAIL250® Maryland and Airshow Baltimore from June 24 through June 30, 2026, bringing a free, family-friendly week of tall ships, military vessels, aviation demonstrations, festivals, live entertainment, educational programming and public ship tours to the city.
The event will take place at several locations, including Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, North Locust Point, Fell’s Point, Baltimore Peninsula, and Martin State Airport in Baltimore County.
SAIL250® Maryland will welcome international tall ships, U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard vessels, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, military and historic aircraft flyovers, STEM and Living History education programs, family activities and more.
The event honors the service members who have defended America’s freedoms at sea and in the air, both past and present, over the past 250 years.
SAIL250® is part of a five-city global gathering of tall ships, military vessels and aviation assets commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The traveling flotilla will make stops in New Orleans, Norfolk, Baltimore, New York and Boston.
Chesapeake Bay Region Timeline
The historic spectacle will spend 18 days in the Chesapeake Bay region, with stops in Norfolk, Baltimore and nearly a dozen affiliate harbors.
Scheduled regional stops include:
- June 12–14: Alexandria, Hampton, Onancock, Richmond, Yorktown and Smithfield/Isle of Wight
- June 18–23: Virginia Beach, Cape Charles, Chesapeake and Portsmouth
- June 19–23: Norfolk
- June 24–30: Baltimore
Sail250 Maryland Schedule – Ships are expected to arrive in Baltimore between June 23 and June 25.
Public ship visitation begins Thursday, June 25, and continues throughout much of the event.
- Thursday, June 25 – Public ship visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday, June 26 – Events will include the official welcome ceremony at the Harborplace Amphitheater, public ship visitation, the Inner Harbor Festival, Fell’s Point Festival, Baltimore Peninsula Festival and a Crab Soup Cook-Off.
- Saturday, June 27 – Saturday’s schedule includes the Fell’s Point Farmers Market, public ship visitation, Kids on the Bay “Parade of Nations,” the SAIL250 Maryland Airshow, Inner Harbor flyovers, the Inner Harbor Festival, Fell’s Point Festival, Baltimore Peninsula Festival and the Martin State Airport open house.
- Sunday, June 28, Events continue with public ship visitation, the SAIL250 Maryland Airshow, Inner Harbor flyovers, the Inner Harbor Festival, Fell’s Point Festival, Baltimore Peninsula Festival and the Martin State Airport open house.
- Monday, June 29, Public ship visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ships are expected to depart Baltimore between June 29 and July 1.
The event is free and open to the public.
