Stanaja Nicole Nae Drummond, 19, of Lexington Park, is facing two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, and resisting or interfering with arrest after St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported domestic violence incident on Ronald Drive in Lexington Park on June 2, 2026.

According to charging documents, deputies were called to Ronald Drive at about 9:52 p.m., after a caller told dispatch, “Someone is trying to kill my friend.” The caller also reported that someone in the area had a knife and was attempting to harm someone with it.

When deputies arrived, they described the scene as hectic, with multiple people outside yelling and arguing. Drummond was allegedly seen running around the corner of a townhouse building as police arrived. Deputies reported that one adult female victim was hysterical and upset, while a second adult female victim was sitting near the area where the incident occurred.

Deputies said an assisting deputy attempted to contact Drummond after multiple people reported that she had been seen chasing others with a knife outside. Drummond allegedly walked toward the deputy, began yelling and cursing, and caused a disturbance. Authorities said she then tried to move around vehicles in the parking lot in an attempt to get to both victims.

Drummond was placed on the ground and told she was under arrest. Deputies reported that she refused commands, repeatedly tensed her body, and tried to pull her arms away.

After she was placed in a patrol vehicle, authorities said she attempted to spit on one victim and also spit toward deputies multiple times.

During a search after the arrest, deputies reported finding a silver folding knife in Drummond’s right pocket. The documents state that multiple neighbors and homeowners came outside or looked through windows because of the yelling and disturbance in the neighborhood.

A witness told deputies he arrived after the first altercation had already occurred. He said that when he got to the area of Ronald Drive and Pegg Road, he saw Drummond allegedly chasing one adult female victim across Ronald Drive toward Pegg Road with a knife in her right hand. The witness said Drummond was saying, “Imma get you,” and also making statements that she was going to harm the victim.

The second adult female victim told deputies the situation began while people were hanging out and attempting to go get marijuana. She said she and Drummond got into a verbal argument outside Drummond’s residence on Ronald Drive after she told Drummond she wanted to leave and go home for the night. The victim said Drummond became upset and that the argument moved to the side of the building closer to Pegg Road.

That victim told deputies Drummond pushed her against a wall and said she did not want her to leave the residence. She said that while walking away as Drummond pushed her, she tripped over her own feet and fell. The victim said Drummond then pulled out a knife, stood over her with it at her side, and made statements that she was going to kill and harm her. The victim said she told Drummond to put the knife back in her pocket.

The same victim said another adult female victim then became involved in a verbal argument over the incident. She told deputies that when it appeared the two were about to fight, she saw Drummond chase the other victim with a knife in her hand while making statements that she was going to kill and harm her.

The first adult female victim told deputies she had been hanging out with the second victim and Drummond at Drummond’s residence. She said that when she returned to the residence, she saw Drummond and the second victim arguing outside. She told deputies she tried to step in and calm the situation.

The first victim said that near the side of the building by Pegg Road, she saw Drummond strike the second victim in the face with a closed fist and pull a knife from her pocket. She said Drummond pushed the second victim and yelled for her to go inside the residence, even though the victim did not want to go inside. She also told deputies Drummond still had the knife in her hand during that exchange.

The first victim said she stepped in because she did not want to watch Drummond assault the second victim. She admitted she intended to fight Drummond to get her away from the other victim. The first victim said that when she stepped in, Drummond pulled the knife out again, charged at her, and attempted to stab her. She also said Drummond made statements and threats that she was going to kill and harm her.

The first victim told deputies she ran away from Drummond, then realized her belongings were still near Drummond. She said she returned to get them and admitted she wanted to fight Drummond in apparent self-defense. She said Drummond chased her again with the knife and tried to stab her. The victim said she returned a third time to retrieve her belongings and fight, and that Drummond chased her again with the knife. During that third chase, the victim said she slipped and fell, causing scrapes and cuts to her arms and stomach while trying to get away.

Deputies noted that no one was stabbed by a bladed weapon. Because of Drummond’s alleged conduct and interaction with deputies at the scene, she was not interviewed there. Later, at the jail, deputies said they attempted to ask Drummond whether she wanted to give a statement after being advised of her rights. According to the documents, Drummond stated that she did not care and did not wish to speak about the incidents.

At an initial appearance on June 3, 2026, Drummond waived an attorney for that proceeding only. A judicial officer ordered her held without bond, citing the nature and circumstances of the charges and a prior record of failure to appear. The initial appearance documents also list required release conditions if release is later granted, including that Drummond not engage in criminal conduct and appear in court when notified.
