On Monday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 3:48 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of Golden Beach Road at Triangle Drive in Charlotte Hall, for the serious motor vehicle collision with rollover and entrapment.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm a two vehicle collision with one SUV overturned with the single occupant trapped.
Firefighters from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded with Rescue Squad 2, Engine 23, Engine Tanker 24 and quickly removed the trapped patient within 10 minutes.
EMS evaluated two patients. One patient signed care refusal forms on the scene. The second patient was transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.
