Amber Louise Prusha, 38, of Mechanicsville, is facing multiple misdemeanor charges in St. Mary’s County after three separate incidents in June 2026, including two trespassing allegations, theft of lodging services, and indecent exposure.

The earliest incident happened June 17, 2026, at a home on Woodridge Drive in Mechanicsville. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:39 a.m. for a reported domestic disturbance. According to the allegations, an adult male property owner told deputies Prusha had shown up unexpectedly the day before after the two had not spoken for five to six months and said he wanted her to leave the property.

Deputies reported that Prusha was inside the home and was eventually found in an upstairs hallway bathroom. The property owner told deputies “she” was inside the house and later said Prusha had something “going on in her head” because she was talking to herself. Deputies said Prusha claimed she owned the home and that the deed was in her name, but she did not provide paperwork at the scene.

Prusha made several statements that deputies described as unusual, including referring to the adult male property owner as deceased and asking deputies whether they had smelled him because he “smelled like death.” Deputies said she also spoke about “zombies” and said she was “the president” because Donald Trump had died. The narrative says Prusha told deputies she took her medication properly and denied having homicidal or suicidal thoughts.

Deputies said the property owner was able to show through public records that he owned the home and property. Prusha was told several times to gather her belongings and leave, but deputies said she attempted to walk back toward the house after being told she was not allowed to return. She was arrested and taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center. A $1,500 unsecured personal bond was posted on June 20, 2026.

A second set of charges was filed after a June 25, 2026, incident at a hotel on Three Notch Road in California. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded for a reported trespassing complaint after an employee said a guest was refusing to leave after the required checkout time. Prusha was charged with trespassing on private property and theft under $100.

According to the allegations, Prusha began staying at the hotel on June 23, 2026. On June 24, an employee contacted her around 5 p.m. and told her she needed to pay for another night or leave. The employee said Prusha went to the front desk and paid about seven hours after checkout time. The next day, deputies said Prusha again failed to check out or pay before 11 a.m. and told the front desk her room should have been booked for three weeks by “the state.”

The hotel later determined the room had only been booked nightly and that no credit or debit card was on file for Prusha. Deputies said she had not paid $98.91 for the room after the 11 a.m. checkout time and was still inside around 7 p.m. When deputies went to the room, they said Prusha refused to open the door despite being told multiple times to leave. After deputies warned she could be arrested for trespassing, Prusha allegedly replied, “no you will not arrest me for trespassing,” and stayed in the room. Deputies also said the door appeared to have been barricaded with various items.

A third charge was filed after a June 28, 2026, welfare check near a shopping center on Three Notch Road in California. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy arrived and saw Prusha in a parking lot without pants, with her buttocks and vagina exposed, in view of customers and vehicles on Route 235. She was charged with indecent exposure.

The deputy reported ordering Prusha to put on pants and said she complied. The narrative says several customers came out of the establishment and began taking pictures while she was nude. A nearby witness working in the parking lot told the deputy he saw the exposure.

Prusha is scheduled for a preliminary inquiry on July 31, 2026, in St. Mary’s District Court on the June 25 and June 28 charges.
