A missing person investigation in Washington state has escalated into a homicide investigation after human remains were discovered on military property, leading to the arrest of two people, including an active-duty service member.

The investigation began June 12 2026, when the Tacoma Police Department received a missing person report for 28-year-old Caelick Bradley, who was last seen June 8, 2026, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Bradley is a St. Mary’s County Native, and Leonardtown High School graduate. Bradley proudly served with the U.S Army, and was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord from 2017-2023 with B Company, 2-158 Aviation Battalion, 160th SOAR-the Night Stalkers. He was a proud member of the Nightstalker Association.

During the investigation, Tacoma detectives determined that Bradley’s credit card was being used by an unauthorized person. That discovery led investigators to a suspect identified as Humberto Rodriguez Hernandez.

Lakewood Police Department officials told Fox News Digital that, during questioning, Hernandez provided details about a homicide that allegedly occurred on Addision Street SW in Lakewood.

Hernandez later led detectives to human remains in a publicly accessible training area on Joint Base Lewis-McChord property near Spanaway, Washington.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord confirmed one of the two suspects taken into custody by Tacoma police is an active-duty service member currently assigned to the base. The Army Criminal Investigation Division is assisting the Tacoma and Lakewood police departments with the ongoing investigation.

Although the remains were discovered during the investigation into Bradley’s disappearance, authorities said official identification and the cause of death are pending examination by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The exact date of the alleged homicide has not been released.

A GoFundMe has been started by the family to assist.
