On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at approximately 12:50 p.m., firefighters from Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 3450 Williamsburg Drive in Waldorf, for the reported automated fire alarm.
While responded to the scene, the alarm company made contact with the homeowner who advised their was a fire with the occupants evacuating the home.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm fire showing from a 1-story single family residence and requested the working fire upgrade.
Firefighters deployed multiple handlines and entered the home to find fire throughout the attic.
The fire was placed under control within 35 minutes.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist three displaced adults.
No injuries were reported. Crews operated on the scene for over 2 hours.
