Marvin Charles Dickerson Jr., 42, of Prince Frederick, is facing multiple charges in Calvert County, including trespass on private property, two counts of fourth-degree burglary theft, three counts of rogue and vagabond, and two counts of theft under $100, after deputies alleged he was involved in separate incidents in Prince Frederick and Lusby between June 16, 2026, and July 1, 2026.

On June 16, 2026, at the Wawa on Market Square Drive in Prince Frederick, a deputy with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported responding at about 9:19 a.m. to assist with a trespassing investigation after another deputy said he recognized Dickerson from prior law enforcement interactions. According to the report, the deputy stated, “I observed a male identified due to past law enforcement interactions as, Marvin Charles Dickerson Jr.,” walking near the front doors of the business and later along the side of the building. The deputy also reported seeing him with “a large translucent plastic drinking cup with the Wawa logo on the side of it.”

The deputy said he checked with the Calvert County Control Center and was told Dickerson had previously been issued a trespass warning for the Prince Frederick Wawa on September 2, 2024. The deputy later made contact with Dickerson near the Prince Frederick library on Costley Way. The deputy wrote that Dickerson was shaking his head while looking at him, adding, “These actions indicated to me; he knew he should not have been at Wawa.” Dickerson was taken into custody without incident and charged with trespass on private property. He was later released on personal recognizance and ordered not to engage in criminal activity and to appear in court.

A second set of charges was filed after a June 24, 2026, report from Lariat Lane in Lusby. A Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputy reported responding at about 4:17 a.m. after an adult female victim reported that her vehicle had been entered earlier that morning. The deputy wrote that the victim said an unknown male wearing a navy blue shirt, blue shorts, a bright blue backpack and sandals walked into her driveway, opened the unlocked passenger-side door of her blue 2008 Ford Expedition, and rummaged through the vehicle. The incident was captured on a Ring doorbell camera, according to the filing.

The adult female victim told the deputy that about $10 in change was missing from the center cupholder. The deputy noted that no force was used because the vehicle was unlocked. Later that same morning, deputies were told of another vehicle-related incident on Chisholm Trail in Lusby, where a male victim reported $30 was stolen from a 2019 Ford F-250 parked in a driveway.

According to the same filing, another deputy later responded to a suspicious-person call near Bowie Trail and Thunderbird Drive in Lusby and recognized a bright blue backpack from surveillance footage shared from the earlier investigation. The man was identified as Dickerson. The filing states that after being advised of his Miranda rights, Dickerson “acknowledged and voluntarily waived” them and gave a statement “where he admitted to breaking and entering into vehicles hours prior.” A consent search allegedly found a large bag of change and a $10 bill among his belongings.

In that matter, Dickerson was charged with two counts of fourth-degree burglary theft, two counts of rogue and vagabond, and two counts of theft under $100. A summons was issued June 29, 2026, and a preliminary inquiry was scheduled for August 24, 2026, in Calvert District Court.

A third Lusby incident was reported after June 30, 2026, when a deputy responded to Thunderbird Drive for a reported burglary. The male victim told deputies he had surveillance footage “depicting a male attempting to break into his daughter’s Mini Cooper.” The filing states the vehicle was locked and the suspect was unable to get inside. The deputy wrote that the surveillance footage was provided and that the suspect was later identified as Dickerson.

Dickerson was charged in that matter with one additional count of rogue and vagabond. A summons was issued July 3, 2026, with a preliminary inquiry also scheduled for August 24, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
