Sports Wagering Contributes $7.6 Million to the State During June 2026

Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $7,623,083 in contributions to the state during June 2026, bringing an end to a fiscal year that saw sports wagering return a total of $132,318,369 to the state.

The $132.3 million in state contributions for Fiscal Year 2026 (July 2025 through June 2026) was a 48.8% increase from the $88.9 million that sports wagering returned to the state in FY 2025. Sports wagering generated more than $99.7 million in FY 2026 for public education programs supported by the Blueprint For Maryland’s Future Fund, while another $32.6 million was directed to the state’s General Fund.

Sports bettors in Maryland wagered $523,337,113 during June and won back $468,764,829 in prizes. Sportsbook operators held 10.4% of the handle.

Of the $7.6 million in state contributions from June, $5.7 million went to the Blueprint Fund, which has now received $277,088,204 from sports wagering proceeds since December 2021.

Retail sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund. Mobile sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund and 5% to the state’s General Fund. In June, the combined retail and mobile contribution to the Blueprint Fund was $5,730,289, while an additional $1,892,794 in mobile proceeds went to the General Fund.
