William Warrenfeltz May, 85, of California, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
He was born April 4, 1941, in Cavetown, Maryland, to the late James H. May and Gladys Caroline May (Padgett).
On April 8, 1961, he married Linda Lee in Trinity Church, Newport. They shared sixty-five years of marriage. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting November 1960 and serving four and half years until April 1965, attaining the rank of Private. William was a Sales Representative in the Plumbing industry and a devoted member of Trinity Church. He lived his life with faith, love of family, and dedication to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lee May; daughter Janet S. Fowler and husband, Wayne; and son Timothy Lee May and wife, Debbie. Also, four grandchildren, Brittany Oliver and husband Paul, Derrick May and wife Leah, Benjamín Fowler and wife Tori, and Jeremy May and wife Shannon; As well as, six great-grandchildren, Jace, Emily, Cole, and Blake Oliver; Wesley and Annie May and a great-granddaughter coming soon. He was preceded in death by his son, William W. May, Jr.; and his brothers; Rodger, Joe and Jim.
A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9560 Trinity Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. The service time and date are currently pending.
