Nancy Carol Youmans, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at the age of 80. She was a longtime resident of Churchton, Maryland, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy was born on November 1, 1945, in Takoma Park, Maryland, to the late Alvin and Shirley Jasper. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Larry Youmans; her parents, Alvin, and Shirley Jasper, and her brothers, Alvin Jasper, Jr,. and Bill Jasper.
After graduating from high school, Nancy attended Strayer University, where she studied shorthand and secretarial skills. She began her career with the C&P Telephone Company before embracing the role that would become her greatest joy and most treasured accomplishment—being a mother. Nancy devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her three children, creating a home filled with love, support, laughter, and cherished memories.
Nancy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and classic films, especially The Wizard of Oz, and delighted in collecting memorabilia from the beloved movie as well as Hallmark ornaments. She also had a special love for flowers and plants, finding peace and contentment in caring for them.
She is survived by her three children, Lance Youmans (Melissa), Craig Youmans, and Brian Youmans; her eight beloved grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Nancy will be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, and devotion to her family. Her kindness touched many lives, and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life is planned for late August, 2026, date and time to be determined.
