Sara Ann Elizabeth Hairston, 37, of Lusby, was charged with misdemeanor trespassing on private property after authorities said she refused to leave Buckets Sports Bar following a reported disturbance on July 15, 2026.

A deputy with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the business on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby for a report of a fight in progress. By the time deputies arrived, the fight had dispersed and the scene had begun to calm down, according to allegations filed in District Court.

The bar’s manager told deputies that Hairston and another person had been involved in a physical altercation inside the restaurant. The manager asked that Hairston be barred from the property because of what was described as belligerent behavior and other actions.

Authorities alleged Hairston continued acting belligerently while deputies were present and screamed obscene statements. Deputies instructed her to leave, and she was escorted by a sober driver to a vehicle.

Before the driver could leave, Hairston allegedly got out of the vehicle, walked back toward the business and stepped onto the bar’s sidewalk. Deputies again told her to leave and warned that she would be arrested if she remained, according to the allegations.

Hairston allegedly refused to leave and was taken into custody for trespassing. She was searched, transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with entering or remaining on private property after being told not to do so. The deputy reported that the incident was captured on a body-worn camera.

The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum possible penalty of 90 days in jail, a $500 fine, or both. Hairston was released on her own recognizance following an initial appearance on July 15, 2026.

As conditions of her release, she was ordered to avoid criminal activity, appear for scheduled proceedings and not enter or go near Buckets Sports Bar. She waived an attorney for the initial appearance only.
