State Fire Marshal Investigating Vehicle Intentionally Set Ablaze in Waldorf

On Thursday, October 29, 2020, at 4:07 a.m., police and firefighters responded to Poplar Hill Road in the area of Martha Place in Waldorf, for the reported vehicle fire.

Four firefighters from Prince George’s County Fire Department Station 836 arrived on the scene to find a blue 2015 Chevrolet Camaro fully engulfed in flames.

The owners have been identified as Tyvon Smallwood and Elaysia McCray with the estimated loss of structure valued at $18,000

A nearby residence discovered the vehicle.

Investigation has determined the vehicle was intentionally set on fire with the area of origin being the interior passenger compartment.

The State Fire Marshal is currently investigating a arson vehicle fire that occured on Sunday, October 25, 2020, on Rock Point Road in Newburg.

Firefighters from Newburg arrived on the scene to find a 2012 Chrysler 300 sedan fully engulfed in flames with the fire spreading to the surrounding area.
